How the score breaks down
Regulation burden 12.5 / 100 → freedom score 87.5. Bars show burden points per criterion (longer = more burdensome). HSLDA's own map tier for comparison: Low (summary dated (undated; accessed 2026-10-26)).
Data notes
- 14 Del. C. 2703, 2703A and 2704 read 2026-10-27 (official Delaware Code): homeschools are nonpublic schools; single-family, multi-family and 'coordinated with the local district' types; end-of-year attendance report by July 31 and pupil-enrollment statement by Sept 30. DDOE's registration page and the subject-instruction wording of 2703 ('regular and thorough instruction in the subjects prescribed for the public schools' for private-school students) were not resolved for homeschools, so confidence stays Medium.
